About this role

You will administer Sequester's database fleet???permissions, patching, capacity, and day-to-day health???so application teams can focus on features instead of firefighting locks.

What you will do

• Provision databases, users, and least-privilege roles for new services
• Apply vendor patches and minor version upgrades on a defined cadence
• Monitor disk, IOPS, replication lag, and connection saturation
• Execute approved schema changes and rollback plans during release windows
• Maintain documentation for instance topology and escalation contacts

What we are looking for

• Production DBA experience with relational databases (MySQL strongly preferred)
• Understanding of backup tools, binlog/PITR, and restore verification
• Change-management discipline and clear communication with developers
• Security awareness for databases holding account and billing metadata

Remote-friendly. We hire globally and collaborate async-first across time zones.
