About this role

You will automate the boring parts of QA???API contract tests, smoke suites, and CI gates???so human testers focus on exploratory work and new feature risk.

What you will do

• Implement automated API and integration tests in the team's chosen framework
• Wire tests into CI with clear failure signals and flaky-test quarantine policy
• Maintain test data factories and staging environments for repeatable runs
• Partner with developers on testability hooks (feature flags, debug endpoints in staging only)
• Report automation coverage metrics and ROI to QA leadership

What we are looking for

• QA automation experience with scripting (Python, JavaScript, or PHP)
• Familiarity with CI pipelines and parallel test execution
• Ability to debug failing tests root-caused to product vs. test bugs
• Mindset geared toward maintainable tests, not brittle UI selectors alone
