About this role

You will build the APIs behind Sequester's vault???authentication, upload orchestration, billing hooks, and account lifecycle??? with strict authZ and audit-friendly logging.

What you will do

• Design and implement REST (and internal RPC) endpoints in PHP/CodeIgniter or adjacent services
• Enforce authentication, rate limits, and input validation on every public route
• Integrate payment, email, and storage providers with idempotent, retry-safe patterns
• Write migrations and data fixes with backward compatibility in mind
• Add structured logs and metrics for support and SRE troubleshooting

What we are looking for

• Backend development experience building consumer-facing APIs
• Solid SQL and understanding of transactional integrity
• Security habits: parameterized queries, secrets hygiene, least-privilege DB users
• Comfort in PHP or willingness to ramp quickly in an existing CodeIgniter codebase
