About this role

You will explore novel attack paths against encrypted media systems???researching client, transport, and storage layers to inform Sequester's long-term security roadmap.

What you will do

• Conduct focused research on mobile vault architectures, key handling, and backup trust models
• Publish internal briefs on emerging threats relevant to consumer privacy products
• Prototype proof-of-concepts in isolated labs???never against production user data
• Collaborate with Cryptography and AppSec on mitigations and defense-in-depth priorities
• Optional: represent Sequester responsibly at conferences or via coordinated disclosure

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated security research output (advisories, talks, open-source tools, or deep-dive writeups)
• Strong fundamentals in reverse engineering, networking, or applied cryptography
• Ethical research practices and respect for user privacy boundaries
• Ability to work independently on open-ended problems
