About this role

You will lead complex investigations, mentor junior analysts, and shape how Sequester detects and responds to threats across cloud, application, and identity layers.

What you will do

• Own high-severity incidents from detection through recovery, including stakeholder updates
• Design and refine detection content (Sigma, YARA, cloud-native rules) with measurable outcomes
• Review SOC processes, shift handoffs, and metrics (MTTD, MTTR, false-positive rate)
• Partner with IR and Infrastructure on tabletop exercises and purple-team scenarios
• Coach analysts on investigation technique, evidence handling, and report writing

What we are looking for

• 5+ years in security operations or incident response leadership
• Deep experience with SIEM tuning, threat hunting, and cloud-native telemetry
• Strong written postmortems and ability to translate risk for non-security executives
• Background screening and security clearance eligibility where applicable
