About this role

You will hunt milliseconds and megabytes???profiling Sequester's mobile and backend paths so vault operations feel instant even on mid-range devices and slow networks.

What you will do

• Profile mobile apps (CPU, memory, network, battery) and backend hot paths under load
• Build repeatable benchmarks for upload, encrypt, sync, and gallery scroll scenarios
• File performance regressions with flame graphs and reproduction budgets
• Collaborate with engineers on fixes???caching, batching, algorithm changes???not just reports
• Track performance KPIs release-over-release in dashboards

What we are looking for

• Performance engineering experience on mobile, backend, or full-stack products
• Tooling familiarity (Flutter DevTools, py-spy, pprof, k6, Lighthouse as relevant)
• Systems thinking: know when the fix is client-side vs. API vs. database
• Clear communication of tradeoffs to product and engineering leads
